A Modern Makeover / Marietta
BEFORE –
A mid-century-style ranch needed freshening up to take it into the twenty-first century.
AFTER –
A ‘faux’ porch captures attention and enjoys unique curb appeal. We’ve dubbed this design style a ‘Porchico’ and is fashioned similar to a front porch but with the shallow-depth features of a portico. A shed/gable roof is supported by both timber brackets and matching square columns. Part of the home’s brick façade now features cedar-shake shingles above the new roofline. The new portico creates added dimension to the home, accentuates the front entry in a beautiful way, and gives the home an overall fresh appeal.
